    SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- A San Luis Obispo man is behind bars and a woman is in critical condition after an attempted murder early Sunday morning.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The victim in an attempted murder in San Luis Obispo has been identified as Deirdre Crowley. She is still in critical condition at French Hospital in the ICU.

The suspect, 59-year-old Edmund Nungary, is still in San Luis Obispo County jail after police responded to a disturbance call early Sunday morning in the 3,000-block of Bullock Lane.

No details are being released into how Crowley was injured. Nungary and Crowley were not in a romantic relationship but were acquaintances, said police.
