ENCOURAGE ECONOMIC GROWTH BY CREATING A CLIMATE OF CERTAINTY FOR EXISTING AND NEW BUSINESSES, OFFERING INCENTIVES WHEN APPROPRIATE 

Create and implement easy to read flow charts that include average permit timelines for average permit processing. Have rate sheets and applications readily available in print and on the website. Implement team meetings with staff to proactively discuss possible projects early in the process.

PROMOTE GUADALUPE FOR THE GREAT COMMUNITY THAT IT IS. 

We have the lowest crime rate in the County yet no one knows that, our housing is affordable and less than 5 miles from the beach. Cultivate media relationships and publish information about the City and community through printed media and the City website. Work with local non-profits to support their efforts in the media.

ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION AND IMPROVE COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC ABOUT CITY AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES 

Create and distribute a monthly bulletin in the water bill and implement an e-mail alert system. Promote rural health and emergency preparedness through collaboration with local agencies and implementation of a City-wide emergency preparedness plan.
