Central Coast Railroad Festival Kicks Off Thursday

San Luis Obispo -- The Central Coast Railroad Festival begins Thursday and runs through the weekend. The Festival features rail excursions, modeling of all types and special events at historical railroad buildings throughout San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara Counties. The yearly event is a chance for people of all ages to learn about the history of the railway and to experience it firsthand. All Festival events are free except the special Family Excursions and Wine Rail Trips. The festival is sponsored by Union Pacific, Amtrak and Rabobank.
