KitchenAid, the appliance brand, is apologizing after a staffer sent out an offensive tweet during the Presidential Debate on Wednesday.

@KitchenAidUSA tweeted: "Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! 'She died 3 days b4 he became president". The tweet is believed to refer to President Obama's grandmother, who passed away just before his election. The president referenced her during one of his statements during the debate.

The tweet was immediately deleted, and the company's senior director of branding took responsibility. Supposedly, a staffer accidentally tweeted from the company's twitter handle instead of their personal one.
