SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A Guadalupe man who shot and killed another Guadalupe resident in 2010 has been convicted of murder.
29-year-old Alejandro Carrillo, a known member of a Guadalupe gang, was convicted inside a Santa Maria courtroom for the murder of 32-year-old Pedro Gonzalez.
Gonzalez's body was found in February 2010 in a broccoli field.
Prosecutors say Carrillo shot and killed Gonzalez because his gang told him to.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 30.
