San Luis Obispo Woman Dies After Altercation With Neighbor

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- The San Luis Obispo Police Department is consulting with the District Attorney's office to file charges against the suspect, Edmund Leo Nungaray, for murder.

Officers arrested suspect Nangaray after receiving a 911 call of a female screaming in the apartment complex on 3350 bullock. Upon arriving officers found Edmund Nangaray near the open door of the victim, Diedre Crowley's apartment.

The victim was removed from life support and passed away.

Police say Nungaray stated he had been in an altercation with the victim. The victim was found not breathing and had no pulse. Officers and responding paramedics were able to re-establish the victim's pulse and she was transported to french hospital.

Nangaray was were neighbors at the apartment complex.
