Montecito Fire Goes Pink In Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Posted: Updated:

MONTECITO, Calif. - Montecito firefighters are adding a little pink to their wardrobe in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

Officials say the entire department will be wearing the traditional pink ribbon, or a uniform shirt with pink accents.  And the fire trucks are getting in the spirit too!  They will all be adorned with magnetic pink ribbons.

This is the second year the District has participated in the nationwide initiative.

"Breast cancer has touched our fire family more than once in the past," said Montecito Fire Chief Chip Hickman.  "I am proud to support this annual event."
