Posted: Updated:

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif- The San Luis Obispo County Bomb Squad was called out to the Rabobank on East Grand Avenue. A employee reported the suspicious "beeping" sound when they went to open up the bank Tuesday morning, said police.

The beeping sound was coming from the trash can, near the walk-up ATM machines and front door. Officers secured the bank and set up a perimeter to keep vehicles and pedestrians from getting near the bank.

The San Luis Obispo County Bomb Task Force was able to use its robot to remove the beeping object.

According to police, the beeping device turned out to be a smoke alarm.
