Santa Barbara County Decides Not to Pursue Charging for Beach Parking

SANTA BARBARA, Calif- Beach goers on the Central Coast can rest easy, Tuesday, after the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors decided not to pursue charging folks to park at seven county beaches.

Santa Barbara County Park Commissioners voted against the proposed fees back in August, after overwhelming opposition by residents.

Staff for the County originally pitched the idea as 'one of the best ways to raise revenues' for Santa Barbara County.
