Vandenberg Village Car Theft Suspect In Custody

VANDENBERG VILLAGE, Calif. -- The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is warning you to lock your car doors.

After a rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Vandenberg Village and Mission Hills, police warn residents in the area to be aware.

In the last few weeks, there have been 14 reports of car burglaries.

Deputies say they have one suspect in custody and are looking for more.

Thieves stole GPS systems, iPods and other valuables, including loose change from unlocked cars.
