SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - CAL Fire and the Bureau of Land Management will burn grasslands in SLO COunty State Parks.
It's part of the prescribed fire program for vegetative management. This treatment will help native plant communities thrive and help get rid of non-native, weedy species.
It will take place through the fall and early winter of 2012 with an end date of December 28, 2012.
Burns will take place in he western portions of Estero Bluffs State Park, Hearst San Simeon State Park near San Simeon Creek Road and High One, Point Piedra Blancas and north of Arroyo de la Cruz.
