Two Hikers Suffering From Heat Illness Rescued

MONTECITO, Calif. - Fire officials had to rescue two Santa Barbara area hikers, who suffered from heat illness on the trails today.

It happened on two different trails. The first victim was reported around 10 a.m., about one mile north of Romero Canyon Trail.

The second victim was reported around 1:16 p.m., about a half mile above the waterfall on San Ysidro Trail

Both victims were treated at Cottage Hospital.
