Jury Finds Santa Maria Man Guilty of Murder

SANTA MARIA - A jury has found 20 year old Moses Gutierrez guilty of second degree murder in the stabbing death of Alex Anzures at a party in Santa Maria last year.

The jury also found Gutierrez guilty of using a knife to commit the crime.

The District Attorney says at the time of the murder Gutierrez was on probation for illegal possession of a knife.

Gutierrez faces 16 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on November 15, 2012.
