Jeff Aranguena, San Luis Obispo City Council - KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - News

Jeff Aranguena, San Luis Obispo City Council

Party/Affiliation: Democratic Party
Current Job: Teacher at Pacific Beach High School

Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

1) Create and sustain economic growth that produces and maintains Head of Household jobs locally.

2) Systematically and empathetically work to resolve the critical issue of homelessness in our community

3) Rebuild and restore trust and cooperation with our city employees & business community.

How do you plan to implement these priorities:

I believe that the largest barrier facing the business community in San Luis Obispo is uncertainty and a lack of predictability. As a member of the Council, I will work hard to advocate for a more efficient and dependable permit and licensing system for local businesses.

We must resolve the issue of homelessness by creating sustainable and practical accommodations for our homeless population. Successfully addressing this critical issue will positively affect the San Luis Obispo community as well as local businesses by attracting more shoppers.

Finally, I believe that the current council has severely damaged its relationship with our city employees. If elected to the City Council I will work hard to ensure that the Council members bring "Good Faith" bargaining to the table. This will be a key first step
