Santa Maria Attempted Murder Suspect Turns Herself In

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The wife of convicted murder Moses Gutierrez turns herself into Santa Maria Police, charged with attempted murder of a fetus.

On Tuesday, a Santa Barbara County jury convicted Moses Gutierrez of second degree murder.   The very next day, his wife, Charity Ochoa attacked a victim who had testified in the murder trial of Gutierrez in the 400 block of East Newlove.   

Ochoa assaulted the victim (and her unborn child) and then left the scene.  Ochoa later turned herself into SMPD.  She was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail. 

Then Friday October 19th, Ochoa was arraigned in the Santa Barbara Superior Court on charges of attempted murder of a fetus.  She is currently being housed at the Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $1,500,000 bail.
