Victim's Family Speaks Out On New Charges For Man Accused Of Running Over Girlfriend

Posted: Updated:
SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- New charges were filed against a man accused of running over his girlfriend resulting in her death and the victim's family responds.

Suspect Jack Misiaszek faces charges for gang related attempted murder.

Police say two years ago, on October 31, 2010, a victim was stabbed several times as two suspects attempted to steal his car near 700 mariposa way.

Those suspects fled the scene and the case went cold.

The attack was believed to be gang related but police had no suspects at the time.

Detectives have now discovered evidence identifying the suspects as Antonio Munoz and Jack Misiaszek.

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office is charging the two with attempted murder, attempted carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon with gang enhancement.

On top of that, Misiaszek also faces charges for running over and killing his girlfriend, Antoinette Raygoza, back in February.

The victim's aunt, Debbie Garcia, spoke with Central Coast News.

"Now, everyone will know he's not as innocent as he, he wanted everyone to think he was,"says Garcia.

Garcia says she is not surprised but is glad the new charges are coming out.

"Just now, he's not going to get out and do this to anybody else. It's not going to bring her back," says Garcia.

"But it's going to maybe give us a little bit of peace and start healing."

Misiaszek is due back in court at the end of the month for the death of Antoinette Raygoza and Garcia says she will be at every single case.
