San Luis Obispo -- Today is the deadline for anyone who hasn't yet registered to vote in the November 6th Presidential Election. Voter registration forms must be turned in today, or postmarked today. They can also be dropped off at the county election office. The San Luis Obispo office has a drop box where voters can turn in the form after hours. Another option available is registering to vote online.
Earlier this year more than 900 voter registration forms were collected on the Cal Poly campus and then turned in past the deadline. About 600 of those belonged to cal poly students, many of them have been contacted and have since reregistered. Anyone who thinks their registration may have been one of those collected on the cal poly campus and then turned in late can still vote November 6th. Voters are encouraged to check their registration status online or in person at the county election office.
Vote by mail ballots should be in the mail by Wednesday, October 25th. If it's past Wednesday voters are advised to take their ballots to an election office or their polling place on election day.
Online voter registration is available online until midnight tonight.
