Woman Charged With Attempted Murder Due in Santa Maria Court

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Charity Ochoa is scheduled to be in a Santa Maria courtroom tomorrow to enter a plea for charges that she attempted to murder a fetus.

Police say that on Wednesday Ochoa attacked a woman who had testified against her husband. She allegedly attacked the pregnant unidentified victim on the 400 block of East Newlove.

Ochoa turned herself into Santa Maria Police and is charged with attempted murder of a fetus. Bail is more than a million dollars.
