SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Early Tuesday morning, Central Coast News received an email from San Luis Obispo City Council candidate Kevin Rice. It was to inform us that four candidates for SLO City Council signed a complaint against incumbent council member John Ashbaugh which had been filed with the city attorney.
In the complaint, attached there are three alleged counts and supporting documents against Mr. Ashbaugh. The counts are:
COUNT 1: Misuse of city email
COUNT 2: Exceedance of campaign contribution limit
COUNT 3: Late filing of required campaign disclosure
Rice, along with Steve Barasch, Matthew Strzepek, and Donald Hendrick all signed the complaint.
