SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - San Luis Obispo Jail officials have been getting notices from the state about disabled parolees who are being held in the county jail off Highway 1.
Over the past seven weeks, San Luis Obispo County Jail has received eight notifications from state corrections officials.
The notices say that some inmates may need special accommodations because of disabilities.
San Luis Obispo Jail officials have been able to accommodate their needs, which range from needing to sleep on a bottom bunk due to mobility issues or not being able to lift more than 15 to 20 pounds.
