Ride 2 Recovery Cyclists Head To Pismo

Pismo Beach -- More than 200 bicyclists, including injured veterans and their supporters, are heading to Pismo Beach today. They are making the 51 mile trip from San Simeon this morning.

The bikers are riding into town as part of the Ride 2 Recovery Challenge. The Veterans and their supporters will arrive at the Best Western Cavalier around 9:45 a.m. The group of bicyclists will be stopping in Cypress Plaza in Morro Bay around 11:30 a.m., 12:20 p.m. at Al Post 66 in San Luis Obispo, Shell Elementary School in Pismo Beach and end at Pismo Lighthouse Suites around 2:15 p.m. 

The riders will pass by Oceano Elementary School where 450 students will be outside cheering for the veterans. The Ride 2 Recovery program creates programs to support injured veterans.
