CUPERTINO, Calif. - A smaller and cheaper iPad is about to roll out onto Apple store shelves.
Apple unveiled the new iPad Mini at a press conference in San Jose this morning, in an effort to stay competitive with smaller and cheaper tablets on the market. The device is 23 percent thinner than the regular iPad and only weighs about half of a pound. Its price starts at $329 dollars.
Company officials also announced two other products, which include a new 13-inch MacBook Pro and the new iMac.
Apple will begin shipping them this Friday.
