Isla Vista Stabbing Suspect Identified as Known Female Gang Member

ISLA VISTA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigators have identified Quiana Edwards as the stabbing suspect in a case stemming from October 7th.

According to Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigators, they've identified 22 year old Quiana Edwards as the suspect in the October 7th Isla Vista stabbing case.  Five victims were ultimately treated for non-life threatening stab wounds at local hospitals after the violent crime occurred in the 6600 block of Abrego Road.  

Edwards is a documented Ventura Avenue gang member and has an active warrant out for her immediate arrest.  She is wanted for felony assault with a deadly weapon, 245(a)(1)PC, and a criminal gang enhancement, 186.22PC.

The Isla Vista stabbing occurred on October 7, 2012, at about 12:40 AM, deputies and officers from the Isla Vista Foot Patrol responded to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital for a report of two stabbing victims.  The victims were assaulted during a fight that occurred on the 6600 block of Abrego Road in Isla Vista.  During the investigation three additional assault victims were identified.
