SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Cuesta College officials say all power has been restored to the San Luis Obispo Campus. On Thursday afternoon, a power outage caused officials to cancel evening classes.
PG&E crews say a turkey vulture fell on a power line, causing power throughout the campus to first go out in some areas, and gradually the whole campus was out.
Power was lost to parts of the campus at 3:30 p.m. An alert was sent out to all students and police were stationed at the front of the campus to tell students that classes were canceled.
Power was fully restored to the campus by 6:18 p.m. Officials say students should be able to access their student email and myCuesta portal by midnight.
Cuesta College officials say all classes will resume normally tomorrow.
