Attack at Atascadero State Hospital Under Investigation

ATASCADERO, Calif. - A patient attack at Atascadero State Hospital, is under investigation. According to the hospital at 9:30 am on October 15, 2012, a patient was injured during an aggressive incident by a patient.

Hospital public information office, Craig Dacus said, "A patient was transported to a local hospital and returned later that day to the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero. A suspect was arrested.

Because of state and federal privacy laws, the identity of either person may not be made available. This is a preliminary report, and the event will be investigated further."
