LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Ventura County Sheriff's Deputies assist in arrest and indictment of Arlan Bustillos, for child pornography and other charges.
According to the FBI, " A Newbury Park man was arrested Monday afternoon after being indicted for a range of charges involving child pornography, including advertising the illegal content, announced, announced Bill Lewis, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office and André Birotte Jr., the United States Attorney in Los Angeles.
Arlan Bustillos, 35, was taken into custody without incident on Monday afternoon by investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the FBI.
A federal grand jury returned a six count indictment in United States District Court in Los Angeles naming Bustillos on October 26, 2012.
According to the indictment, Bustillos knowingly advertised, distributed, received, and possessed distributed child pornography.
The investigation of the allegations involving Bustillos is continuing.
If convicted of the charges, Bustillos faces a statutory maximum of 130 years in federal prison.
This investigation is being conducted by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the FBI. Bustillos is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney's Office in the Central District of California. "
