SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Students and parents looking for information on college, have a chance to get it Monday night at a special event hosted by the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation.
At the event Monday, more than 50 California State University and University of California representatives, as well as advisors from independent California and out-of-state colleges, community colleges and vocational programs will meet with students and answer questions in the Cuesta College Student Center. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a personal essay writing workshop and learn more about eligibility requirements for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and financial aid.
The free event is aimed at local juniors, but all county high school students are invited to attend. SLO Regional Transit Authority will provide free transportation for both parents and students. Students will need to inform the bus driver that they're headed to College Night and present a valid student ID.
College Night 2012 runs from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at the Cuesta College Student Center.
