First Look at Paso Robles Shooting Suspect

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Central Coast News has your first look at photographs of Clifford Albert Scott Jr., the man arrested in the Officer involved shooting in Paso Robles Saturday morning October 27th. These Facebook pictures, confirmed by a source close to Central Coast News, are of the 22 year old from San Diego.

According to San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Deputies, Scott took off from a CHP officer from highway 101 into Paso Robles off Spring St. Scott then crashed his car near Spring and 13th. He then ran from the officer. Shortly after both men drew their guns, fired at each other and fell on 14th and Park. The number of shots fired has not yet been released.

The CHP officer involved in the shooting is 30 years old and a 6 year veteran to the agency. He is currently an officer at the CHP office in Templeton. He remains on administrative leave, which is common after an incident like this.

Scott has been booked into San Luis Obispo County jail for attempted murder and CHP is conducting an internal investigation.
