SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office has filed misdemeanor battery charges against a former UCSB soccer player.
Peter McGlynn is accused of shoving a referee to the ground after a questionable call during a pivotal game for the UCSB Gauchos over the weekend. He was led off the field in handcuffs.
McGlynn has been removed from the team according to the roster. He faces up to one year in jail and a two-thousand dollar fine.
