HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. -- A man is expected to survive after being bitten by a shark in Humboldt County. The man was attacked across the bay from Eureka, a popular surfing area. The victim was injured on his ribs and torso area.
Emergency crews said the man had foot-long gashes across his body. Right now he is in fair condition at the hospital. The man has not yet been identified.
This attack comes just a week after we had a deadly shark attack on the Central Coast. Officials say 39-year old Francisco Solorio Junior was surfing on the beach when he was attacked and killed by a 15 to 16 foot Great White Shark.
