SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Students and parents looking to get more information on colleges can attend a college fair at the Earl Warren Showgrounds next Wednesday.
The event normally draws about 1,200 people. The fair is free and open to the public. More than 85 admissions representatives from different colleges will be there to discuss course offerings, admission requirements, college life, and other pertinent questions.
Michael Medel, a coordinator of student outreach programs at Santa Barbara City College says the fair is well worth it for Santa Barbara students.
Many of our local Santa Barbara graduating seniors have their hearts set on their first choice," said Medel. "I always tell students, if you don't get admitted into your first choice, why would you settle for your second choice? Just find a different pathway."
The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Exhibit Building on the 3400 Calle Real in Santa Barbara.
