LOMPOC, Calif. - The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding an event for local business owners and community members called Small Business Saturday.
It's a national event that will take place November 24th. It's sandwiched in between the popular shopping days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's a way to encourage people to support local businesses by shopping locally at small businesses.
A small business owner in Lompoc had the idea to do something big in the city for Small Business Saturday. The Chamber of Commerce said that local business owners and community members have met once already to brainstorm ideas to market the idea.
Another meeting will be held at the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce next week.
