Two Residents Wake Up To Find A Woman Stealing Their Stuff

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- A San Luis Obispo woman is behind bars after police say she attempted to steal various items from an apartment complex at 60 Casa Street.

Police say at about 9:00am Sunday, two people inside home woke up to find Sandra Lee Welsh, 32, in the act of stealing a laptop and an X-box 360. The residents told police that when they confronted Welsh, she picked up a wooden baseball bat and hit them.

Welsh was arrested for robbery, residential burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. Both residents have minor injuries.
