LOMPOC, Calif. - Lompoc Police are searching for a man they believe robbed a customer outside of a bank ATM machine and a gas station on Sunday. Police have just released a new photo of the suspect they hope will help with an arrest.
According to police on Sunday November 4, 2012 at approximately 4:15 AM, a black male adult entered U.S.A. Gas Station Market at 1000 North H Street where he brandished a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect apologized to the victim, stating he needed money, and then fled with a small amount of cash. The suspect had a hood pulled over his head covering part of his face. He fled west on the north sidewalk of North Ave.
At 7:25 AM, a black male adult, same description, confronted a customer at the Rabobank ATM at 828 North H Street where he brandished a firearm and demanded money. He obtained cash and fled westbound across H Street to Oak Ave.
The suspect is a Black Male Adult mid 20's to 30 years old, 5-8 to 6ft, thin build, and soft spoken. The firearm was partially concealed during both incidents. The suspect wore a black varsity type jacket, with grey sleeves and stripe on the collar. There is a large design on the back resembling a unicorn or dragon with a round white design on the left breast and a name or design on the right chest. The Jacket looks too large for the suspect. He wore dark pants, converse style shoes with black tops and white toe.
