Family Returns Home to Damaged New Jersey Home with Newborn Baby

PAOLI, Pa. - One small bundle of joy greeted the world in the middle of all of the havoc of Superstorm Sandy.

Jordan Jennifer Rega was born a couple of days after Sandy hit, two weeks early.  Her parents evacuated their home before the storm hit.  Their home was extensively damaged.

"To see all that really hard work and excitement and anticipation kind of get washed away, it was really devastating," said new dad, Jeffrey Rega.

They left their home to stay with family on the Main Line, but when they arrived, her mother's water broke.

Jennifer's parents say she is a healthy baby girl.

"The juxtaposition of the two is incredible. And it kind of gives you hope that you know there's always something good coming out of the bad," said Rega.
