SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Officers say a bicyclist crashed into a car on South Broadway Street in Santa Maria Wednesday night.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Broadway Street around 5:45 p.m.
22-year-old Christopher Licoscos was riding his bicycle southbound on the sidewalk of East Broadway.
25-year-old Elise Sperakos was driving her 2003 Ford Taurus, making a right turn from a private driveway onto Broadway. She checked for traffic, ensured it was clear, and began to make a right turn on Broadway when Licoscos rode his bike into traffic and around the vehicle when the two collided.
Licoscos fell to the ground and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Police say Sperakos was not cited.
