LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The man behind the film called "Innocence of Muslims," which sparked violent protests in more than 20 countries will spend one year behind bars for probation violations.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, who changed his first name to Mark, admitted to four of eight violations stemming from a 2010 bank and credit-card fraud scheme.
Nakoula was housed at Lompoc Federal Prison when he was first charged.
He used a fake name to make the film, "Innocence of Muslims."
