MONTECITO, Calif. - Fire officials say they have enough evidence to prove that the Cold Fire in Montecito on Tuesday was caused by human activity.
The fire broke out Tuesday morning, just above Cold Springs Trail, off of East Mountain Drive. The brush fire caused mandatory evacuations for about three hours.
Santa Barbara County Fire says the Cold Fire did spread to about two to five acres.
The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Santa Barbara County Fire Department's Cold Fire Tip Line at (805) 686-5061.
