Mesa Lane Beach Access Steps Now Open

Old steps to Mesa Lane Beach

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Mesa Lane Beach access steps are now open in Santa Barbara after they were closed for more than a month for repairs.

The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department says the steps were closed while crews replaced the lowest landing and a stair segment. Crews did demolish the concrete foundation, replacing it with steel posts and stairs.

The steps to the beach are now brand new.
