SANTA MARIA, Calif. -  The search is on for an armed robber who police say robbed a Baskin Robbins in Santa Maria.

Witnesses say a man wearing a Halloween mask went into the Baskin Robbins on North Broadway around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, armed with a handgun.  The suspect then demanded money, and then took off.

Police believe the suspect was wearing a dark colored beanie, blue pants, and white shoes.  Workers at the Baskin Robbins store tell Central Coast News they did not have a surveillance camera.  It is not known how much money the store lost.

Anyone with more information is urged to call the Santa Maria Police Department at 805-928-3781.
