Fire on Vandenberg AFB

VANDENBERG AFB--Twenty people were evacuated from three facilities there when a wildland fire broke out at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on North base.

The seventy-acre fire was ninety percent contained by 3:00 p.m. according to a Vandenberg Fire Department representative. No structures were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
