Prescribed Burn Planned This Week

LOS OSOS, Calif.- Cal Fire has scheduled a 430 acre prescribed burn between November 12th and November 13th. The final burn date will be determined by permissive burn day availability and weather.

The burn is located in the Coon Creek area. Six fire engines, one bulldozer, three fire crews and one helicopter will be assigned to this burn.

The burn is being conducted to reduce hazardous vegetation and wildland fuels. People in the Morro Bay and Five Cities area may see smoke from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day of the burn.
