SACRAMENTO, Calif. - There's a new director for the California Department of Parks and Recreation after the former director stepped down in the wake of the $55 million budget scandal.
Major General Anthony L. Jackson served in the Marine Corps for more than 30 years.
Governor Brown says he is confident that Jackson will be able to restore the trust in the State Parks Department but Jackson will have to be confirmed by the state senate before taking over.
