Body Identified in Nipomo Hit and Run as 24-year-old Nipomo Resident

NIPOMO, Calif. - California Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed in a suspected hit and run in Nipomo. The man has been identified as 24-year old Christopher C. Tietjen of Nipomo.

Tietjen's body was found on the side of Thompson Avenue on Monday. Officers are now looking for a light green Toyota Prius made between 2004 and 2009, the suspected car in the hit and run.

Central Coast news reported in June of 2010 that Tietjen was arrested on a charge for annoying children under the age of 18, a violation of his probation at the time.
