SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Black Friday may be a week away, but that's not stopping some Santa Maria shoppers who have pitched their tents up at Best Buy.
About 20 people have put up tents right outside the Best Buy store, located on the 2300 block of South Bradley Street.
One local man says he thinks he's breaking records, saying he's beating a girl who won a national title last year.
"She came out on the 16th, so I was like, I'm going to try to beat her by two days ahead, " said shopper Romeo Martinez. "So I came out here yesterday morning. So far, I'm the one that holds the record in the United States."
Romeo says the doorbuster deal he's waiting for is a big screen TV.
