SOLEDAD, Calif. - The state licensing board and the state attorney general's office is investigating a vocational nurse of diverting pharmaceutical narcotics at the Soledad Correctional Training Facility.
56- year old Albert Cox of Los Banos was fired by the correctional training facility in 2011.
He's accused of illegally obtaining morphine and codeine by falsifying patient and prison records.
Cox is one of a number of nurses at the prison who are targets of a multi-level probe by federal and state investigators.
They're reviewing several allegations against the nurses, including falsifying overtime on pay sheets, and diverting drugs meant for prisoners.
