Autopsy Results Confirm Hit and Run Victim Died of Blunt Force Trauma

NIPOMO, Calif.- The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff/ Coroner's Office has confirmed that multiple blunt force trauma injuries was the cause of the death for Christopher Tietjen.

Marie Coyner, 23, was arrested and charged for Tietjen's death. The California Highway Patrol says Coyner was driving southbound on North Thompson Avenue sometime after dusk on November 11th and prior to 11:30am on November 12th, when the crash happened. CHP says Coyner allegedly drove off after she hit and killed Tietjen. 

Coyner had been booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail but posted bail. She was scheduled for a court appearance Monday, but was not in the courtroom. Her arraignment has been pushed back to November 29th.
