SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The woman accused of carrying out a disturbing and destructive attack against a local church, 24-year-old Amanda Ruiz will appear in court next week.
Her case was continued to next Wednesday.
Ruiz was arrested Thursday in Santa Maria when officers say she allegedly set fire to Saint John Neumann Church, shattering windows and desecrating a statue while under the influence of drugs.
Police said she had just been released from jail before Thursday's incident and has a record of drug offenses.
