SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police are looking for a shooter who drove up to a man, just after midnight and shot him once in the upper body.
According to police, at around 12:18am Thursday morning Santa Maria Police Officers were dispatched to Marian Hospital after a gunshot victim arrived by private vehicle. The victim provided little information advising that while walking home within the 600 Blk. W. Cypress, a white, Acura, 4door (NFD) pulled up to him, at which time the front passenger fired one shot from a shotgun striking his upper torso area. The gunshot wound was not believed to be to be life threatening.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Santa Maria Police Dept.
