SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police responded to a traffic accident on Broadway and Morrison late Wednesday night after a car ran a red light. Both drivers are in critical condition.
Here is what the Police Department says happened:
A 2005 Dodge Durango was negotiating a southbound turn onto Broadway from westbound Morrison when it was struck by a 2001 Hyundai Senata, which was traveling northbound on Broadway. It was determined that the driver of the Hyundai Senata ran a red light causing the collision. Both vehicles sustained major damage.
Both parties were transported to Cottage Hospital and listed in critical condition.
